From what I see, it looks like reports are stating that ourselves and Brentford are interested with Leicester wanting £40m.
Yet we have allegedly made initial bids for Gómez at circa £8m and Wieffer who may cost £25/30m.
There’s a deadline approaching now of 30th June and so if Leicester don’t reduce their asking price quickly I can see KDH going nowhere.
If he goes nowhere LEicester will surely breach PSR for 23/24 and get a hefty points deduction.
Looks like a good negotiation with us holding the better cards as we have alternative options.
Every day that passes up to 30th June deadline would suggest a lowering of the value of KDH to Leicester.
Once 30th June passss , and if they haven’t sold him, then they may as well keep him as they’ll have failed PSR anyway.

I’d prefer to have Gómez and Weiffer and a points deduction for Leicester.
However I expect we won’t move again on Wieffer and Gomez until we know the position on KDH. It’s only three days now.

All conjecture on my part, of course, but it’s interesting as the 30th June deadline has added another dynamic to this transfer window.
Id like all 3 if its not too greedy. Even if Baleba was a replacement for Moises and Dahoud a replacement for Mac then it could be argued that we will need to replace Dahoud who is clearly not up to it, Adam and possibly Pascal.

Given Lallana (90,000 p/w) has gone, if Dahoud (55,000 p/w) goes, along with Gross (65,000 p/w) and Undav (25,000 p/w), then that releases £13m per year from our wage bill. £20m given Fati has gone now too. That's nearly £400k p/w in wages available within the current budget - A sizeable amount to throw at new players

1, that's remarkably precise wage info (I'd strongly dispute the Lallana one) -- source?
2, note also some of the existing squad's wages will have gone up over the past year

I have no idea where it came from but I feel like I’ve seen that Lallana figure quoted a few times. I’m sure it was reported in the media that he became our highest earner when he signed for us and it’s possibly evolved in speculation from there.

FWIW, I would not be surprised if he was on 80k-90k a week.

Looks like Chelsea have fallen for it..
Sadly, I don’t think that is our strategy.

It’s outrageous that Chelsea can compete with us in the pre-30th June window by essentially selling their hotels and training complex to themselves whilst overvaluing youth team players in the the ‘PSR cheating cabal’ swap and managing to give themselves enough wriggle room to carry out their No.1 transfer strategy:

1. Sign Brighton targets before they do.

I'm losing count of the number of times that I've been told this but I'm confident you can handle it. This figure was on the basis of the contract he signed for 2020-23, and not the extension he signed for 23-24. Do you really think Bloom and Barber would say, he you go Adam, despite your compromised playing time and abilities, we're going to offer you exactly the same amount as the last contract that broke our wage ceiling?

It's so odd. How many midfielders do they actually need / can they play? They've spent nearly £350 million over the past two years alone to give them clear first choice midfield starters and youth developing. It makes no sense to sign anyone else 😫

Caicedo - £115m in August '23
Enzo - £106m in January '23
Lavia - £58m in August '23
Chukwuemeka - £20m in August '22
Ugochukwu - £23m in August '23
Casadei -£12m in August '22
Santos - £11m in January '23

I think based on what they knew he’d bring off the pitch while working under a manager still finding his feet in the PL, yes. I reckon Ashworth would’ve been telling them he’s worth every penny.

The Fatherland
Or his brother Wayne’s Ibiza Bar - Linekers in San An :lolol:

Can’t believe those two are brothers, Wayne comes across a total dick on an Ibiza documentary I watched recently, but has done well for himself. Ibiza life has taken it’s toll on his younger brother
Was that the BBC doc? That other guy seemed to be the brains and money behind everything with Lineker being more the public face. He does seem a bit f***ed though, voice has gone and his skin looks like leather.

The Lallana one was from about 3 different sites that record player wages, as were all the others. The point is, it's a substantial amount off the wage bill.
