Kids in Albion shirts - OUTSIDE Sussex.

Marvellous Scenes this morning, as I drove to work though Culverstone (Kent) to see a lad of about 9, walking back from the shop with his dad, and the little fella was resplendant in his green and black Albion away short.

How absolutely fantastic that it's not just little lads in Brighton and Sussex, proudly wearing the shirt, but it's even further afield than that.

It was all I could do, not to pull over and give the lad a big hug. It really brightened my day.

My kids proudly wear the kits were we live (lichfield staff) but will say every now and again they do get a funny look. PROUD to be a SEAGULL.

I saw a kid in an Albion shirt here in Hampshire last week.




It was MY kid though, to be fair.

That's the thing though, I've seen MY kids roaming around the Kent countryside, or indeed on holiday, but they are MY kids. To just drive past an unknown child on a non-match day, all proud in his Albion shirt .... honestly, it was wonderful.

My older lad's first football training of the season tonight. That will involve ONE Albion shirt and a dozen 1977 Liverpool ones.

Climbed Scafell Pike with my daughter last month. First person we saw on the summit was a teenager in an ALBION shirt. On the top of England. Shame some sweaty had flown a saltire from the summit cairn, I kid you not!
