I know it's NSCs biggest cliche but it's worth a shot

failing that check your keyboard in the control panel settings

does it feel stuck or is it simply not spacing when you hit it?

All you needed to do was put a letter in the spaces and make it white if you have a white background of course

Dicky keyboards often respond well to being dropped flat from six inches onto a hard surface... it shakes up all the fluff, crumbs, skin, grease etc that clogs up the contacts.
