Steve Coppell was hinting at a Premiership club needing to start the ball rolling and we end up with the dregs.

Ooer, isn't it exciting!!

Does that mean we might get Brett Ormerod? The domino effect.

I hope you're right, and you've got a 100% percent record with your inside info:)

Ormerod's a fringe Premiership first teamer. He'd command a fee and want wages we can't afford, surely? I hope Isabella's old man is correct, but I can't see it. Looks like he's doing what the tabloids do... 2+2=5.

Whoever it is, I hope he doesn't read Coppell's comments in the Argus (I knew I'd seen it somewhere).

Coppell could make another signing before the game at Oldham.

He revealed: "There is a possibility, but we have to depend on the domino theory. A bigger club has to do something, that has a chain effect and we pick up the dregs!"

Ormerod would be extremely doubtful. But they've probably got a couple of other strikers in their squad (Youths, reserves etc).

Good signing for Saints. As for Ormerod, well he finished last season pretty well and whilst he might not be Premier class he would do well in Division One. Can't possibly see him down here.

The Saints also Parhars to come back, so Ormerod will do well to get a game but I can't see him coming here.

Alun Armstrong however, if he is prepared to accept a cut in wages............

Do you reckon that if you say that enough it'll become true?

At work - probably
The domino/chain effect that SC is talking about is probably a little more complicated - for example Phillips joins Southanpton, Blackburn get Beattie and we get oh I dunno Ostenstat or someone. Just an example mind.

Phillips was a good player. But after his recent few season I would think that £3 million is overpriced.

as Howard Wilkinson put it, "He's gone from golden boot to rubber welly"
