you forgot about financial fair play

Many clubs seem to conveniently forget about that as well.

Seriously though, if you were a professional footballer, and a team in La Liga wanted you, would you prefer to sign for a new kid on the block who was doing quite well, or for one of the established big boys, Real or Barca?

It's never existed, we've had no more or less dickheads than most clubs. It's just something Mat Ryan said about the club's recruitment looking into the player's character as much as ability as it's a popular phrase down under but most clubs will do a character profile and it's about as true for us as it was for the All Blacks, where it originally comes from, and most other top clubs.

I think most of us know that the No Dickheads Policy wasn’t an actual documented policy, rather an understanding that the club wouldn’t tolerate players (or others) who didn’t behave as the club expected them to, hence a number of players have been moved on.

Can you name any Dickheads currently at the club (excluding those out on loan).

In the past we have certainly had a mountain of plums. The worst being Neon Light, albeit someone I won't name crashed his car after the centenary dinner and had to be 'rescued' before the OB arrived....

Today, as others have said, and as Barbs explained in a recent interview, our club will speak to family and friends before bringing anyone into the club. Compared to what certainly went on in other clubs, back when we were in the championship, our club may well have seemed to have a conspicuous no dick-head policy under Bloom, as Maty Ryan stated. But these days this will be standard practice at all top clubs.

It may have escaped the attention of some, but footballers are generally 'nice' these days (much to the annoyance of the 'old school' spectator).

He is a shade better than 1 goal in 5 for Leicester - so worse than Maupay - and at 26 he'll expect to equal or improve his current salary.

This is so NOT an Albion-type signing; unlike Welbeck there is no value to be had.

Agreed. It's 100% a Palace signing, he then scores 7 goals in his first 10 games, there's a meltdown on NSC, then he scores 1 in his next 30 and everybody forgets about him again.

Putting Iheanacho aside (good player, would be very happy to sign him), this TB doesn't spend in January thing is now about as mythical as the famous 'No Dickheads Policy'. What do:

Kozlowski
Undav
Caicedo
Mooy
Lamptey
Mac Allister
Locadia
Murray
Knockaert
Skalak
Kayal
Stephens
Ulloa (twice)

And many others all have in common?

Well, apart from them, he doesn't do January.

Probably on far too high wages to command a transfer fee.
I'm sure there will be plenty of Championship sides interested if his wage demands and signing on fee are realistic.
Got West Ham and Everton written all over it.

He's never played more than 1,456 league minutes in a season (ca. 16 full 90s), and has only ever scored in double figures once - 4 seasons ago.

His next move could be career-defining (Not for me, Clive).
