I couldn't see how it was the right decision. It's a bit like the 'Umpire's call' in cricket. Okay, Hawk Eye says it's hitting the outer edge of the stumps, But, really, you give those you give everything. A snapshot of NSC would show a thread of a multitude of angry replies had it been given the other way round.

Anywhere else on the pitch, if you get the ball first and end up going over another player it is given as a foul.
As a fan I would not have been happy, if it had been the other way round, but I would have accepted it.

Pen all day long. He got a shove in the back and he had to get a touch before Kepa. Once he got the touch it was impossible to avoid kepa so a pen. I don’t think he tried to get round him but given his stretch to get the first touch I don’t think it was possible.

I think he got the push which sent him off balance. At that point his intention was to make sure he got to the ball first, and then made sure there was contact with the goalkeeper. He initiates the contact by deviating his run into the goalkeeper, then going over. I think VAR would’ve backed whatever the referee gave on the pitch and it really was “one of them”.

This really. It was a foul in the area. Penalty. Genuinely not much else to it.

Not up to the fouled player to not be fouled, it’s up to the tackler to cleanly win the ball/not commit a foul.
