KEITH HACKETT (as he brands himself) on Twitter is not shy on calling out poor refereeing. Unsurprising given he’s unaffiliated as far as I can tell with any role in the game currently. Can guarantee all his honest punditry would stop if he were offered a cushy mentoring job at PGMOL.

In the past few weeks, Keith seems to be waging a one man vendetta against Brighton.

Today: Brighton's second goal shouldn't have stood because of a foul

Last week: Chelsea's disallowed goal should have stood

The week before: Mitoma's winner should have been ruled out and Palmer should have got a penalty when Dunk hit him in the penalty area.

A couple of weeks before that, Pedro should have been sent off and called out the officials.

Oh, and not to forget he was apoplectic about Rice's sending off earlier in the season.

I know other commentators have made similar points about one or other of these incidents, but thank God he is not reffing us anymore.
We wouldn't get anything.

This guy is making a name for himself by disagreeing with every decision made. It seems to be working though as no-one had heard of him until recently.

Surprised they haven't got him as a regular on Talksport, he's got the spouting shite for attention down to a tee.
That's a fair observation. Talksport do seem to give platform to shouty people. It took a while, but I no longer listen.

Is he the one who just basically disagrees with every VAR decision going in the name of social media traction?

I say this with a degree of sadness, but the longer you've been out from an industry, the less time anybody has for your opinions. It's not always fair, but it's how life goes. So begone to the golf course Mr Hackett and trouble us no more.

On a kind of related theme Keown very briefly mentioned the unfair Declan Rice sending off this morning on TS. Also said he was prepared to discuss the Arse injustices if they wanted to go over ancient history again.

Did Keown mention the wrong kind of ball Arse have been lumbered with?

Yup
One of the main proponents opinion that Rice shouldn't have been sent off, because the ball was moving, when Veltman attempted the free kick.
A position that was easily countered with, "But the free kick was never taken, Keith"

It didn't matter though as he will take the Arsenal fan's position, 9 times out of 10, as the reposts give him the distribution he craves.
