Agent is Neil Fewings of WMG one of the country's top firms. I think you'll find that its not about just a wish to be the best. His world does not revolve around a desire for money, just the people that he cares about and that care about him.

The difference between him and some, is that when he comes to a point in life where things are not going to plan he does not just sit there and do nothing forever. He tries to do something about it.

Whatever you say. Since chose not to stay at Brighton. He played in 32 games in the prem, he's won 4 medals in two years at Fener this included a bronze medal for reaching the semi final of euro 2008, Scored against Chelsea in the champions League quarter final. He is still only 23. Colin now Plays at top level in his third European league. Oh yeah and he's played 20 international games and has been selected to The squad again for the friendly game against Honduras this week.

There are players that he left at Brighton, who many on here agreed were better or would achieve more. But have yet to do so. Some are now struggling to get in the side. Some of you will still say as you have already said he be in the conference in two years time. Colin would say. Its better to of loved and lost ect, ect.

Sully you talk shite. Been crap. Fener had there best start for sixty years. The won 8 in a row. He was undoubtedly Feners best and most consistant player in their first ten games of the season and in the top five in the coutry at the time. Even the players an manager at Fener, will tell you that(did you miss his MOM display in the Galatasery derby then only in the worlds top 5). But then you dont know them do you. Why dont you report on whats happened since he left them.

As for his ego. It this the ego that flies home on a weekend break and gets off a plane and goes and trains with all the kids from the the soccer school and football club he played for and now sponsors. He has attended every end of season presentation since he finally left the club at 15 years old. In the last year Colin's personal contribution to the club is over 25k. In the last 2,half years. He organises and supports campiagns against gun and violent crime in his community. He is also sponsoring young talent in his hometown of Walthamstow, at present he is sponsoring to young up and coming comedians in from the Waltham Forest area. Which has one of the highest number of gang and gun related crime rates in the country.

So go on his website, ask questions as someone has suggested. Do yo think you can come close to the virol of some of his arch rival supporters. You aint got a clue. He flew from Turkey to take a supporter out for the day. He visits the homes and schools of handicapped in Turkey, North Cyprus and here in England.Yes go on his website. He will be happy for your attendance.

Colin has already experienced more in thus far, than many good players will throughout there whole career.

Ask Dan or Jam. Your very own Brighton supporters, what he, and his family are really like. Its not a pretence, but no they don't suffer fools lightly. Just because of this you call it ego. The Kid was 19 when he came how balanced and mature were you at that age. Probably was out drinking. Colin doesn't drink, never has done. But that cant be true can it

He is a figurehead and mentor for many of the under priveleged people from the areas that he represents. Many will bear testomony to the impact he has had on there lives. As did the boy who one a day out with Colin as a result of getting the highest mark in his year on his GCSE coursework, for doing a project on Colin.

So no. It was not done to polish his ego. It was done to show his many young under priveleged supporters that you have to fight for what is right and what you believe in.

So he understands if you dont care about him. But please. PR and management team. No. Fighting those who fight him, or for those who fight for him. Yes.

Ego. Give him a break. Its high time you got over yourself. He has.

Sorry debo its you who talk shite. I live in Turkey and have actually seen CKR play for fener about thirty times either at the game or on TV. Under Zico he played really well as his style of play suited Turkish football . When Zico left the wheels came off. Aragones didnt like Englih style players and hardly ever played him and under daum it looked that CKR just didnt fit. I think his style of play was great for Turkey but every manager is different and frankly in the first half of this season he just didnt cut it.... possibly because of all the behind the scenes issues, that I dont know.

As for best start in sixty years.... think you should ask some Turkish supporters and some people over here. You might be right but fener has been poor ever since they started relying on Brazilian players... this season they are abyssmal with or without CKR.

I wish him luck as I have not supported the anti-CKR brigade.... think he can do really well.

Sorry .....CKR was,is. and always will be ..average at the very best. Quite how he has managed to get to where he is , can only be down to the agent. He now goes from club to club, like a gypsy, not being able to settle anywhere.
He is no better than a very average championship player

Well that is clearly wrong. How many average championship players have played and scored in the champions league?

Good player and a great shame it didn't work out here otherwise we could have had a very good player on our hands and sold him for a lot more than we did

I repeat what I said. It is quite simple. With Kaz in the team Fenerbahce won the first 8 games in a row, Their best start for sixty years. Fact, whatever your friends say. Of the first 11 league Fener played this season Fenerbahce had lost only one. Colin started every game scored three goals and was involved in several others, again fact.

It was only after a very successful MOM display as a lone stiker against Steau Bucharest in the Europa cup where he scored in the 1-0 win. Was He then employed as an out and out striker the following week and whilst not scoring gave another MOM performance in the 2-0 derby win against Galatasaraywin where he left the pitch in the 72nd minute to a standing ovation after mauling the three national teams centre backs on his own. Fact.

As you should also know Colin mainly operated as a wide man or maybe you dont maybe you dont know anything. Co's I havent seen you post on this tread that the Second in command at the club Mr Ali Koch declared on TV and on their website that Colin was not guilty of any of the accusations that were levied against him. He was not out partying before his accident, not involved in the hotel parties or any gambling syndicates. Fact yet again.

When Colin got sent of in the Besiktas 3-0 derby loss (see I even tell the bad things that happen) It was Feners first league loss of the season. Fact. He never played again.

Funny enough Fener have just completed another 11 games since he left. I think youll find that they have notibly stuggled in his absence, and have lost five league games

But just in case your really not sure you can take a look with your own eyes. The music may not be everyones cup of tea (you can mute), but I believe it was not about the beat but the lyrics in essence.

Most of this season is on the part two I think, although the Bucharest game is on part 1. Have a look.

If your opinon. If you can honestly say he has been useless the year, you are obviously more informed than I, and I will stand down.

You say I might be right because I am. Its the truth and one thing you more than most should know on here is that quoting what you have heard from a friend in Turkey never has been and never will be apoint of Law.

But like the Murpy's he's not bitter.

Some of you just need to take the hate out of your heart

No sorry...its not clearly wrong....
He was a lazy shite for us...and came over as being a very average player.
I dont think his 'goals for' ratio was that brilliant for us . The reason we didnt sell him for a lot more was that he wasnt that good

I don't HATE CKR - why would I? I've never met the lad.

Didn't rate him though, and was quite happy with what we got for him.

Undoubtably has some talent, but the bottom line is that he never REALLY tried for us. He never, ever looked like he actually CARED, and for that reason alone, never managed to care much back.

hmmmmmm. :glare:

fair play Debo...stick up for friends and kin is a great motto in life.

CKR took a lot of flack on here because, probably quite rightly, he saw himself as being a much better player with more ambition than we could match at the time. You can call it ego (which it is) but why not? The lad has talent and deserves to make the most he can from it - hell isn't that what all of us try to do? Unfortunately his respect for his own ability seems to have translated into disrespect for others.....it's never an easy line to walk and he, regrettably, tripped over it a fair few times, at Brighton and subsequently with other clubs.

The result appears to be that he has become a bit of a journeyman, unable to settle in any one place for long. But then footall is a transitory trade and he is making a very good living from his travels between clubs.

Football is a short career and CKR has used his talent thus far to play at the highest level and to earn the best financial return that he could. Nothing wrong with that and good luck to him.

So he seems to have made few friends (among fans) and to have upset many along the way? Frankly if any of us were in his position would we care?

Thanks for your contribution though, Debo - it does paint a broader picture of what the lad is all about, and its nice to hear of the good things he does.

Just out of interest, do you visit the Bury, Sheffield United and Fener sites to counter any criticism of him too?

You really are an idiot arent you... look at my vaatar I LIVE IN TURKEY!!!!!

I dont hate him, I thinkl he is a very good player but what you're saying is untrue. Yes he did get sent off and it wasnt a fair sending off at all. Personally I think he played quite well but his style didnt fit... that is a fact too. Tell you what.. why dont you come out to Turkey and talk with some of the Fener staff and players... I have friends who know them... then we can write the truth together on here... what do you say?

Out of interest... if you're not here in Turkey how did YOU get your info.... other than the CKR site?
