An arrogant striker who barely scores really isn't worth that much, whether he's at the Euros or not.

NAIL AND HEAD!

He's shit - wouldn't even get in the Albion team now in my opinion - rather have a 34 or whatever yr old Nicky Forster.

Kazim - Richards is a shit arrogant PRICK

Kazim Richards should have played for England, played and scored for Chelsea not against them, but has become the best player at Euro 2008 in spite of being undervalued by everybody.

£2m is chickenfeed these days, and Real Madrid will probably be tapping him up as we debate. This will start an auction which will continue through to the end of the transfer window, when he will finally sign for his dream team at the Camp Nou for circa £23m.

are we talking about the same player? or are you doing a windup. i assume the later.

thinking more about it, despite his undoubt raw natural tallent, he seems unable to apply or build upon it. he wasnt first name on the teamsheet at Sheff United and neither at Fenerbache or Turkish national. i reckon he thinks he should be number 9 striker, but he doesnt get the goals so is asked to play attacking midfield. but that requires a bit too much effort.

someone said he was an impact player at Brighton, and that seems to have remained. couple more years when he loses the natrual fitness, he wont even be that, i doubt he'll be playing in the next Euros.

I'd rather have Forster too.

We all knew the lad had ability, I don't think anyone would argue with that, the reason he's never been popular anywhere he's played is because he never displays that ability on a consistent basis, and gives every impression he thinks he's above having to do certain tasks on the pitch.

From my recollection, most of the games he started for the Albion, he was pretty tame, looked lazy and/or unfit by about 60 minutes. When he came on as sub, he tended to make more of an impression, but at some point you have to do the business regularly, not fall back on the old "I'm misunderstood by the manager" argument.

The other reason why I maintain he would never, ever have succeeded at the Albion, even if we'd had Jose Mourinho managing instead of McGhee, is that I'm quietly convinced the majority of the other players thought he was a complete arse. I had reason to meet him once, and found him rude, sulky and very much of the "don't you know who I am?" persuasion.

I've had three or four current Albion players describe him as a "wanker" to me while I was working one night and bumped into them out on the piss, and I think it was Paul Reid who gave a fairly scathing impression in a newspaper column.

If you think CKR was misunderstood and ill-treated here, why don't you ask his former team-mates what they think of him?

None of this impacts on his ability of course, but it will affect his value and chances of getting a move to a decent club. Managers talk to each other, and will be aware of the baggage he carries alongside his well-documented skill.

This is brilliant i completly agree with everything you have said . well done

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
 I know.

The thing is, he never looked like he wanted to be playing for us. I am more than happy for players to look ahead and want to better themselves and move on, but I expect them to bleed for the cause rather than have one eye on a move before the ink on the contract has dried. If he had put in half the effort that McShane made then he would have earned a move as opposed to Sheff Utd taking a punt on his potential.

From what i have seen at Albion, Sheff U and on TV FOR Turkey a great player to have on the bench but something we could not really afford at the time

Kazim-Richards is a fairly talented footballer with a massive atttitude problem.

If he had actually listened to what McGhee was telling him he would have been an excellent player for us

Was he telling Kazim-Kazim-Kazim-Kazim to play on the wing and chase long balls over the top, like he did with Leon Knight?
Clearly magoo was misunderstood, as that tactic was destined to work eventually :nono: :shootself :tosser:

Brian Horton, Hull assistant manager, has just been on the local news and was answering questions from the fans, one was asking about Kazim-Richards and Hull and his response was that it's just internet talk, started on an internet forum.

So far out of his depth I think they should throw him a life line at half time. Lawro has certainly made his judgement on him.

Indeed, he has done absolutely nothing in tonights game. To be honest I thought he was capable of more, but maybe he has been found out. He stays out on the right, goes past nobody and just lays a 2-yard pass backwards. I could do that. And as for tracking back to protect his hapless right back, forget it.

Still a very lazy player on the evidence at these championships so far. I found the comments below from Mcghee about Richards Richards in 2005 after we beat Hull. To me, it looks like nothing has changed much since with his attitude

"I thought [Gary] was brilliant, absolutely excellent in everything that he did. He gave us that little bit of aggression upfront and that is what I wanted and that is why I played him.

"He has been in great form, wherever I've played him and he has got his confidence back. He has looked as fit as he has done since I've been at the club and I had no fears that he would give us an honest performance.

"I think that was Colin's most complete performance tonight and I think that Gary Hart was part of the reason for that in the sense that Gary embarrassed him into working his socks off.

"Because Gary was, Colin couldn't really stand around and I think that is the route of Colin's future. He has got to apply himself and his work ethic has got to be right up there and then his ability will come through."
