absolutely sensational stuff - the cheer as he cleared the last was something else. i dont think i will ever have the pleasure of witnessing a sporting moment as good as that ever again unless brighton and hove albion one day win the champions league. and to be honest im not sure that even that will top it

unbelievable. roll on march

Did my bollocks on Long Run (got 6/4 - top price as well). Mate's car got broken into at Dagenham and shit football so it was an awful day and one to forget.

Well done Kauto Star though.

I'm sure I've posted elsewhere on here that my greatest live sporting moment, above the Cup Final, Play-off finals and promotions I've enjoyed with the Albion, was watching Best Mate get up to win his third Gold Cup at Cheltenham - it was an incredible moment of sporting theatre. It's particularly strange for me, personally, because I came to racing late. When I was a kid, Saturdays were either spent at the Goldstone or, when the Albion were away, at my Nan's. On the latter days, Grandstand was on and racing dominated and I hated it - I saw it as a real bore-fest.

I didn't have a penny on Kauto yesterday but I was still shouting him home. I've done very well on him over the years and he's an incredible horse. I wish I could have popped down to Ditcheat today to join in the celebrations.

They replayed the race before the first today on the big screen and had the call over the loud speaker, stirring stuff. :moo:
