why on EARTH we haven't signed a left midfielder yet. I mean, fair enough, Poyet seems to like using Dicker on the left as a third-sort-of-centre-mid and it's got us results of late, but still, it'd be nice to have LEFT-footed winger as an option, wouldn't it?

Even if it's just a loan signing, get someone in who offers us something differnt on the left, eh?

It's just I'd have thought it was the most pressing issue for the type of player we're looking at given Mcleod's our only option their and Poyet clearly doesnt rate him.

Just a little concerned is all. Don't really want to watch us for the rest of the season playing without even the option of a decent left winger.

How do you kno that he hasnt asked 20 defenders to sign for Brighton and they have all said no?

Come to think of it, How does Conboy know that Gus hasnt asked 20 left wingers to sign for us and they have all said no?

Unless someone from the club has come out and said that they have tried to sign player X, Y or Z how do we know anything about what transfer targets we have?

Agree with you we definately need someone, as McLeod cannot stay fit. The Dicker experiment isnt really working, and the only other optins are playing Cox, Livermore or Bennett there - which hasnt/wont work. Carole is the one that might, but he wont be good until the sun comes back out in March.

I don't know whether he has tried to sign 20 left midfielders or not. I don't know whether he has been trying or not. That's why I was just WONDERING.

The point I was trying to make is that we need a left winger for the above reasons Mendoza and I have stated. Very rare you see a successful team that doesn't at least have the option of an out-and-out left winger. That's why I'm WONDERING why we haven't signed one yet. It could be for a number of reasons, I'm just starting to get the impression Poyet doesn't see it as a big issue, which I find a little worrying. Of course I could be entirely wrong, but I'm only WONDERING.
