The rules were changed today mate, need to find another excuse ...:)..and your chairman voted for it as well..

http://www.football-league.co.uk/ne...hip-financial-fair-play-rules-rg-2066799.aspx

Eighteen clubs, including Albion – who have been adhering by the letter to FFP – voted in favour of a hike in permitted losses next season from £5 million under the existing rules to £13 million, with six against.

You're still going to be punished this season. Learn to read.

Don't care for Bournemouth, but you simply have to respect what they are doing. Clearly better at recruiting than we are especially forwards.

Based on what I've seen, they don't seem a particularly good team, but keep winning which is the recipe for success. In terms of FFP, so what, if they get up they effectively stick two fingers up at it.

Eddie Howe, quite irritating - probably went on a media training course, and effectively roles out similar quotes every week.

Funny how Eddie Howe did nothing at Burnley and Sean Dyche took the same team to the Premier League

Not far off the truth:) In his ill-fated spell at Burnley, Howe finished 13th in his only full season and left us 17th and two points off the drop zone with the WORST defence in the Championship.

All this despite operating on a BIGGER wage budget than Dyche who, on the division's 5th lowest wage budget, won promotion and transformed the defence into the BEST in the championship with 37 goals conceded in 46 games. Only Brighton managed more clean sheets.

If Bournemouth go up this season, it will be because they can afford to pay very good wages. They could well be in the Top Six for having the highest wage bill but only time will tell.

Their wages in 2012/13 were DOUBLE their turnover. Cherries fans say they don't spend much in transfer fee - they may have a point but their wage bill is huge considering they get 10,000 crowds.

I'm feeling a bit delusional at present (and have just quaffed half a bottle of Nytimber Classic Cuvee) so thought I'd bump this back up.

Congrats on having such a good vineyard in your back-yard.

The difference between Brighton and Bournemouth this season so far, is they have double the goals and more than doubled the points than us.

In the longer term they surely cant survive on those gates. I really didn't think they looked that good against us, and but for Dunk's ill timed challenge, we would have got the point we at the very least deserved.

I really hope their bubble bursts, nothing against their supporters, but Howe is just so smarmy.

Personally I think Derby, Middlesboro, Watford and as a longer shot Norwich (once they replace their manager), will give them a good challenge.

You don't think the AFCB academy products - Vokes and Ings - plus the Poole born-and-bred Austin, all of whom were taken to Burnley by Howe had a beneficial effect then?

Bournemouth are going up, they are thoroughly deserving too. Invested in the manager and hanging on to their best players or replacing those they lose with equal or better quality players. Thia is something we are very reluctant/unable to do. I am jealous.

attitude, confidence, organisation, healthy respect but not awe for the opposition, hard work, knowing when to play the percentage game and knowing when to 'twist', playing till the final whistle in terms of concentration and not giving up, fitness, diet, etc
