It's a remarkable run, and not in a good way.

22 games (not all starts, granted) over four months since he last found the back of the net...

It's best not to get worried about it

There's nobody his age banging in the goals in the PL at the moment. And there are very few in PL history to have that number of goals at that age. A barren run was always inevitable. Just think of it that we're investing in his future with all this game time. The rewards will come

Welbeck will likely start at Liverpool, he seems to play well against them, and is probably the better option to stretch their back line when counter attacking.

Hopefully that means Ferguson gets a start against a leaky Brentford side.

When he gets a run in the team, we break at pace and start crossing decent balls from the wings again
He really has had some poor balls and lack of minutes, I totally concur. March and Mitoma will give him better quality.
Welbeck had the best quality balls and missed too many if you ask me, Ferguson would have tucked away most of those.
I have plenty of faith in him but he needs a proper supply and minutes like you said.

Not worried about it at all. Whilst as I've said before, I don't think he is as good as all of the hype (£100m/£150m valuations were laughable) which has added to this unfair expectation of him, he is clearly a very talented player and as pointed out above, very few players his age score goals in elite leagues.

I think he could just do with a bit of a rest to be honest and come back at the start of next season fully fit and firing hopefully.

Sussex but not by the sea
I was in the minority in Janaury when these supposed £100m bids were incoming that I'd sell. Do I want BHA to sell Evan in the next few windows - NO - but for £100m - YES. He has massive POTENTIAL but right now that is mainly all it is. I think he'll come good, and I hope that is here. He still doesn't look 100% fit to me.

This is totally it.

Wingers are constantly recycling and eventually crossing to strikers with no forward momentum. It will be very hard for them to score under these circumstances. Need to gamble more and whip it in first time more often

Sadly we are now playing Potterball and by the time we have finished passing backwards and sideways on our way forwards any crosses or through balls arrive after the opposition have all their players back defending. Really frustrating

It will come. Has probably been effected by the loss of Mitoma and March more than anyone in the team. Fees off the sort of crosses they can create. Yes he has missed chances in that time but that's what happens when the confidence goes. Still rate him highly.

Alot of excuse making in this thread. Evan really isn't getting himself into the right positions to score goals at the moment or working as hard as he seemed to last season, and when he did v Fulham he messed up two big chances. His confidence really does look shot and when that happens strikers tend to start dropping too deep to get on the ball rather than taking risks and playing intuitively. He's young, he has the talent, and it'll come eventually but this is the price of developing a youngster. He has the right attitude so isnt a Connelly and I hope weve learnt our lesson with Gykores that these things take time!

Here
Defenders now know how to play him, it's up to him and the coaches to find ways around that
