Whenever I see anyone climb out one of those horrendous paintjobs, I always expect them to scream at the top of their voice "LOOK AT ME, I'VE GOT A LAMBO, ASTON etc"

I have never understood why anyone would want a paint job that screams “look at me” when they already have a car that does the same in whatever colour it is

To me it screams “I have (or have borrowed) the money to buy this but I have a complete lack of taste”

I love some exotic cars but would be embarrassed getting out in a car park even if it was jet black, I’d wear a balaclava if it was in purple

Not to the extreme of some of the cars you're talking about, but there's a yellow porche (with a black stripe down the middle I think) that parks nearby, and I like the colour. Or is that not the kinda flash we're talking about?

Being of a certain age - 70 in July - that will always be the classic Rolls Royce shape for me.
I was well chuffed when we managed to book one for my daughter’s wedding.

Some cars do look great in loud colours even when they are are eye catching anyway imo, this is not exotic but to me it looks great even though it is a LOUD colour
