I agree. It's pants.

Bad drawings
awful plot
continuity failings in many parts.

And don't ge me STARTED on that AWFUL SONG.

Wasn't The Snowman written by a fellow NSC user? I'm sure there was a thread a while ago (4-6 wks) about greatest Xmas film & the starter of the thread claimed to have written it whilst at University.

I agree, watched it once years ago, even more boring than the Queen's speech IMO.

Aled Jones' singing doesn't even feature. It's an unknown on this, Jones had a hit with a cover version a year or two later.

couldn't disagree more - and neither could my nearly 4 year old daughter. Must be sad to have such a sour outlook on life.

I agree, very sad.... my 5 boys from 6 months to 9 years sat quietly and did not take their eyes off the screen  very rarely that happens!

You're kidding, right? It's by the great Raymond Briggs, who was 44 when the book was first published (in 1978). And the song was by Howard Blake, who was 44 when the film came out (in 1982).

Either that poster was winding you up, or you are trying to wind us up ... unless ... Briggs does live in Sussex, of course - but I don't suppose for one minute he's a NSCer!

The original Raymond Briggs comes across as a lugubrious man with a sense of humour ....therefore a typical Albion fan. So you never Know.
I,as I have stated, wrote the Snowman whilst having a dump at brighton poly,as some have noted and a quick check will show I supplemented my book earnings with a bit of lecturing to apprentice Lathe turners and those not quite bright enough to get in up the road.

Muppet Christmas Carol is the video feast of the season,Snowman just a Big Mac in comparison.
