Just rung Rail enquiries- Trains buggered

Derailment, empty passenger train at brighton, bloke said no information available about the trains except that the ones leaving Esatbourne at 1040 are still there at 1125! Just says delayed, so if your planning to leave from eastbourne drive over if you can cos they havent got buses organised yet! What a palava!
Coudnt tell me if they were running trains from ebourne to london road, he thought not??!!

Trains are running from the east coast into brighton and from hove into brighton but no trains running on the main line to preston park at the moment

Is that what all the sirens were about in Brighton about 10 this morning? Saw multiple fire engines, police cars and ambulances all going hell for leather in the general direction of the station.

Have just spoken to virgos haircut, its a thameslink train that has derialed right outside brighton station. Westcoast trains are fine, east coast trains are running with delays. But the main line could be out of action for most of day

They are apparently running buses from haywards heath station to all stations to brighton, not sure how often though
