(Perhaps this should be in the 'Songs that sum up the current situation' thread....)

With no game for almost a month, when we finally play our next EPL match v Liverpool on October 1, it will almost seem like the start of a new season.

New manager and coaching staff in place, ready to go again - but with points already on the board. And then of course there'll be the break for the World Cup and another chance to regroup.

It's going to be a strange old season, but perhaps with what's happened that might work in our favour?

It’s probably the best year for it to happen to be fair and equally the best time within the season too. It was going to happen sooner rather than later so quite excited now for what’s next.

When we started over after Covid it didn't go too badly. Always best to be positive.

If it had to happen, then this was the best time for it to do so. Hopefully they will get the appointment they want.

Also, if things don't start too well for the new manager, the poor results are likely to have occurred in matches that we weren't expecting much from anyway.

And also another chance to reassess after Qatar.
