Speculation growing that Coppell has beaten Hoddle to the Reading Job.

Not again! I can't believe it - if it hadn't been for those ****** Falmer NIMBYS we would have had a new stadium on the way by now and Coppell would have pledged his long-term future to the club.

Anyone know more?

Regardless of whether the approach was made using the proper channels if SC has gone then Madekski is going to look a git and a hypocrite.

I only believe it because DK will be looking at the compensation money.

If SC leaves then it will be a black day for the Club.

It will be more depressing than Adams, Horton or Taylor going. Bum bum bum.

Still it is only media speculation. Isn't it? Please say that's all it is.

Heard the same, can't believe it, they seemed quite certain that there may even be an announcement today, saying that he's taken the Reading job.

I'm always positive and attend every game thinking we are going to win and believing that we will go straight back up, but if he goes and we get a manager that likes division two hoof it and run football, I will be so pissed off, it's at times like these it's difficult not to start getting disillusioned, on the other side we may get a better manager and be delighted!!!!!!

Well it has almost got to be Bob Booker. He can't be a number two to a fifth manager. I can't see what else the Club can do.

NO!!!!

Bob Booker is a great Number 2.

Jeff Wood, Martim Hinshelwood....

Sky Sports were saying this morning that Hoddle is having a second interview today and has emerged as the hot favourite for the job.

Stevie and his magic shorts will be staying !!

I tend to agree fatboy, but will we get another manager prepared to work alongside someone who is not his own man. We restrict our choice. And would Booker want to do it ?

If SC goes it has the ring of inevitability about it for me.

I think if this happens Reading will shoot up to being top of my hate list, behind palace obviously but hated more than Man U and Cardiff.

I'm still hopeful it is pure speculation

I find Reading unbelivable. They moan that Pardew was "taken" by West Ham and that they wouldn't do that to another club. Apparently the club can "allow" him to talk to ArseReading. I cannot believe that Knight would allow that. And also , even though they have gone through the right procedures, it will still leave us up s**tcreek again.

ArseReading really do piss me off. They are everything I hate about football!

Madejski said when Pardew left that when looking for another manager, they would approach the chairman of that club and ask for permission. If he then says no then they look elsewhere. They would not 'tap up' a manager under contract like he believed West Ham did. They have acted competely by thr rules. They must be a clause saying he can talk to a higher club as surely DK wouldnt be that stupid to allow. This takes me back to Cham Man when Bobby signed a new deal only for Charlton to offer £750,000 when his value was £1.5m as I forgot to realise he had a minimum release fee:angry:
