Touting for Seagulls world business (which I signed up to...), knowing all my NSC username details and stuff, is this normal?

and on a SUNDAY? impressive.

They will be from the company that runs the site, Premium TV or what ever it is called. Normal for them to call on a Sunday since there is more chance of you being home.

It's also illegal to make outbound cold calls on a Sunday

But if you at sometime in the past have either forgot to tick / or ticked a box that related to people contacting you about the item, then it is not cold calling.

Must admit, thought it was dead odd that they knew my NSC name & E mail address (and even my NSC password reminder!!)...

...but I now have Seagulls world access so all above board then I supose..

NSC doesn't have password reminders...

Well that is f***ing weird then - he knew the exact phrase that would instantly remind me of my password.

He even asked me 'and 'such and such' is your password yes?'.

Are you sure it was NSC and not the official club message board?

All sounds a little dodgy to me. You didn't give them any bank / card details did you?

Or they could have taken your card details signed you up for seagulls world, and are currently buying a new kitchen with the details.

I cannot see how they would have got your NSC password though. I am sure Bozza would not hand that sort of information to anyone, the club included. So either one of the other mods did, or someone hacked either the site or your PC.

It wasn't my actual password - it was the password reminder phrase he quoted, which now I ascertain NSC doesn't have. I guess it must be from brightonfans or something, I'm Mr deez there too so maybe I just didn't listen to his spiel properly..

Quite correct.

Not at all - as someone else suggested, the chances are this is his official site login that was being referenced, nothing to do with NSC at all.

I reread his posts. It seems he uses the same username and password for both so yep that would be the case. However I would still be very reluctant to give my bank details over the phone to someone who knew that kind of information.
