I think it is a Wolf Spider. They can grow to be quite big. How big are we talking? What coin is the same size as the body?
Definitely do not kill it. Spiders are our friends.

The only problem there (unless you live in flats) is that you have to remove a spider by more than either 20 yards or meters from your house, or it will turn right back round and be back within 24 hours.

If there was a spider as big as the first pic in my house then I would probably move out...in all seriousness though, spiders are our friends, nothing wrong with having a few around the house!

The reason I say so, is that I collect spiders.
I have quite a collection now and have affectionately named each after a different poster on this site.
ps possible to catch it for me? put in a jam jar and bring it along to the game tomorrow night?
