We had him on loan from Coventry, younger brother of former Sunderland player Sean Thornton. Coventry had high hopes for him when he first broke through into their senior squad but it never worked out for him.

No. That was Matt Duke. Who subsequently lost his place after being sent off in the League Cup final.

As for Kevin Thornton, amazing debut at Northampton (Murray scored twice), and then that was that.

Lol I was looking at his profile on FM12 a few days ago actually, as I signed his brother Sean for Eastbourne Borough remarkably, and I thought to myself "Didn't he play for us a few years back, then realised it was Kevin. as others said, he showed lots of promise in his younger years, but it never really worked out, he is now at Wrexham.
