Gawd Swansea is a long way away :)

Draw at home and win away, thats what the experts say isn't it :lolol:

Thoroughly enjoyable. First half we were really really good, full control of the game and you felt the goal was coming for ages. Stephens and Propper were excellent in the centre and Izquierdo and Knockaert were really good outlets down the flanks. Murray played a consummate hold-up role again and didn't look at all tired or fading when he was subbed. Second half was much scrappier and I don't think we had a proper chance that half, they closed down both our wingers, especially Izquierdo, kept Bruno and Bong pinned deeper and made it harder for us to break. We were fortunate they smashed the bar in their best chance of the game in injury time.

That said, I think Swansea were possibly the worst home side I have ever seen Brighton play. The number of free kicks that sailed straight out of play and corners that couldn't beat the first man was astonishing; every time they had a break on they would pause, hold it up and pass it back. Carroll and Ki had a nightmare in centre midfield and if it wasn't for Mawson it could have been a lot worse. This Swansea side are going down, that was really poor. The fans turned on them quickly, before we scored Carroll killed a break stone dead and the crowd moaned in unison, and from then on the atmosphere turned progressively worse. By the end fights broke out between fans in the east stand, their players were kicking bags after being subbed, there was a lot of abuse being thrown towards their american owners after the game. Not happy times in Swansea. Abraham looked like the only player really making an effort, he was tricky all game, but Dunk and Duffy were on top.

Dunk and Duffy! What an absolute pleasure to see them in action in person, we got the trademark flying Duffy headers, the trademark Dunk crossfield passes, they were simply superb throughout. Jenas is going to explode if he gets to review us again on MOTD.

Mr Dean got dogs abuse in the buildup but managed to keep himself largely under the radar, decisions were fair albeit he blew his whistle a bit too often. Murray seemed to win every free-kick.

Fans were great, so enjoyable to sing along constantly for 90 mins. The Stephens / Propper song got a long airing :) At the end the big group hug our players did showed our team spirit whilst their fans massed to boo. Enjoy this everyone.

Excellent summary, spot on. Sat in my hotel in Swansea waiting for MOTD to start after several celebratory drinks.

What a ******* day. Again.

Fantastic, been home around half an hour.

Jesus Swansea were sh1te but you still need to win and we did

Only criticism is Izzy - you are one of us even on loan so after the match join the other players applauding the fans and not have social cit chat with Abrahams and ignore us

Lovely stuff.

What's the stadium like in the 'flesh'? Looks very uninspiring on the box. Great scenes in the away end though.

Nice on the outside, feels like a bigger version of Rotherham's NY stadium inside.

Now you mention it saw a few good pics of the outside online, probably that from that nice Danny Last fella.

Northern Hemisphere.
March looked very neat with his passing when he came on. He looked very classy under pressure and was able to maintain possession well. Would definitely have him starting against Stoke.

Izquierdo didn't have the best of games. It looks like he's easily nullified when the defenders quickly figure out that he is always going to cut in. His game looks very one dimensional. He didn't use his pace enough today too and gave away some needless free kicks. I definitely think he's a better impact sub than a starter. Just say we're leading against a top team 1-0 and it hits the 60 min mark and we've been pressed constantly, then Izquierdo coming on with his electric pace would give the opposition all sorts of problems with our chances on the break. When he starts, the opposition seem to contain him pretty easily even if it's a poor team like Swansea.

Lighten up, they're young teammates and TA has just received an England call up.

Its very 'Championship' - which is a compliment in a way, neat and functional, a solid footing for a good team, but fairly small and nothing special like you might expect in the premier league. However sight lines were excellent and acoustics superb which really helped us make an atmosphere.

It's nice enough but the more I see of these recent new build stadiums the more I appreciate the fabulous stadium that Tony Bloom has provided for us.
