Oh dear.

I fear a heavy backlash from a smarting West Ham team on Saturday. If we play like that against them we could got completely hammered.

Will Hendo be dropped? Its hard to recall when he has made saves that have actually won us the game. All round he is sound but just doesn't dominate the box like Kuipers, and as for the final minute. What the f*** was that?

What was the reaction from the fans like at the end of the game?

I was walking out when the players came to acknowledge the players and there was applause followed by some booing. I assumed that was for Hendo but can't be sure.

On NSC for over two decades...
Just back in from the game, my knees didn't warm up on the drive back. Brrr.

We were worthy of a point today, and for 92 odd minutes looked like getting it. Then Henderson chooses to muck about and we get sod all. Now don't get me wrong I think Henderson has improved on last season, but he is a young keeper who is still learning his trade, but he isn't learning quick enough, and he's doing it in our first team. I think the next lesson he needs to learn is that his position in the starting line up is not guaranteed, and he should be dropped for that howler.

Today?

He made a bad bad mistake, and he wasn't particularly commanding, but he made a couple of great saves.... and the reaction to him at the end was out of order.

We were bad in general (not Henderson's fault :lolol: ), but I see the West Ham game as the perfect tonic, the players will raise their games for it, as players always do for such occasions, which might help turn this bad form around. We might even get a result...

I wouldn't have booed him, (i left on the final whistle anyway) as I don't boo our own players. It was a genuine mistake, in the Paul Robinson mode against Croatia. Just one of those things. I just worry that his general goalkeeping isn't yet dominant enough. I am sure he will be a great goalkeeper but I just don't think he is quite there yet. I also worry he will lose confidence in an inconsistent side, and therefore I would be tempted to drop him for a spell. But that maybe harsh.

We had a great chorus of "Michel Kuipers, the former Dutch marine" as we left the stand.

He HAS to be in goal on Sat.
