Bit of fun for Xmas Sunday, what’s your ideal line-up for Jool’s’s NYE extravaganza?

Competition rules,
5 Bands or artists, must be alive and still performing, providing a musical eclectic mix for diversity and to a degree within the confines of BBC budgets.

I will kick off with
Paul Weller
Bryan Ferry
Kaiser Chiefs
Kylie
Billy Ocean.

And of course Jools and his rhythm and blues orchestra.

Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds - kick off with something dark to reflect 2020

Richard Hurley - some beautiful mellow sounds

Paloma Faith - introduce something a little different and an avant garde attitude, to start to welcome in 2021

Paul Weller - one of the best artists for reinvention and a sign that we can be better next year

Bruce Springsteen - a rocking positive end (with a guest vocal from Beyonce)

As a Jam fan I would not want Weller near any kind of fun night, dull old git.

In no particular order......

Foo Fighters
Robbie Williams
George Michael
Madonna
Take That

I’m not sure George would be very lively.

Just his music would bring a smile, PW would bring a scowl if anything at all!

Used to idolise Weller but he needs to play to his fans, not his ego.

I could throw in a few less universally loved names like Chris Cornell or Morrissey, but it is supposed to be a fun night for the masses?
