not much older than sullivan - anyone know his appearance stats with Mainz?
It comes down to the old argument - is he better than what we've got?
(or are we just looking at him cos Ipswich said to????)

Not just him, we've got 2 others as well

Albion have stepped up their bid to increase the goalkeeping competition for Michel Kuipers with trials for two European shot-stoppers.

And they are also giving a trial to a Portugese leftback.

German keeper Jonas Sela has linked up with the Seagulls after training with Ipswich last week.

The 23-year-old, released by relegated Mainz last season, is a free agent.

Danish custodian Jonas Jensen will join Albion next week from Swedish club Elfsborg.

Meanwhile, defender Carlos Da Mota, from Portugese club Immortal, trained with the Seagulls for the first time yesterday.

The trials for both Jensen and Da Mota have been arranged by former Albion boss Barry Lloyd, who was recently appointed chief scout.

The Seagulls have decided not to pursue their interest in Daniel Bocande, the Senegal midfielder who recently had a two-match trial in the reserves.

Jonas Sela (* 23.

:O
