Agreed. I would say that anyone can be a fan of anything, but a supporter is someone who actively supports the club, usually by going to watch them play or buying their merchandise etc.

Yes I heard him say this in an interview before and as he attended school there (i.e outside Haywards Heath) he adopted his local football team and has always followed us since. Someone should invite him down to the Amex especially now we are all tippy tappy.

Yes he is a fan, i was talking to him a couple of years ago on the train to London. He got on at East Croydon and stood next to me on the train - we got chatting about bits and pieces and he said he followed Brighton. He got off at Blackfrairs at the same stop as me and cycled into work. Seemed a nice bloke!
