Withdean legend Guy Butters will be joining cyclists on a one-day cycle ride across the beautiful Sussex countryside. All money raised from the ride will help fund Albion in the Community’s award-winning work across Sussex.

There will be three routes to choose from – 40km, 70km, or 110km – all of which start and finish at the American Express Community Stadium. Riders will journey along the cycle path from Falmer to Lewes, before riding along scenic country paths through the villages of Barcombe Mills and Ringmer.

The longer routes then lead further into Wealden and towards the wooded lanes of the High Weald, before heading back to the stadium. There will be refreshment points along the route for any rider who wants to stop and have a rest.

Alongside the entry fee, participants are also encouraged to try and raise money to support AITC.

If you want to fundraise for Albion in the Community: you can tell everyone about your challenge and ask them to sponsor your JustGiving page by clicking here. Every fundraiser will receive an Albion in the Community cycling hat, and the top three fundraisers will also win a bonus prize.

The Brighton Breezy ride is a popular event, so we advise participants to register early to avoid missing out – places on this event are limited.

All under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

The entry fee includes:
– Free parking at the stadium.

– Fully signed route.

– Refreshment stations with toilet facilities along the route.

– Full mechanical support on the day.

– Limited edition finishers medal.

– Refreshments at the finish line.

i've done this several times before, its a great day out, though the long route is quite hard in the middle third- . The refreshment stops are first class, especially the Waldron one, which the 110km route visits twice as its the start and finish of a loop that is added on to the 70km ride Its this loop that has the majority of the hills in it!

Its always been very well organised , with good route signage, and gps routes available for bike computers (Garmin etc). It goes through some great countryside and is mainly on the quieter country roads

Well recomended

Its for a great cause as well.

I'm afraid I won't be able to attend, on the premise of me throwing a loaded wet sponge at him, which caught him smack bang on the face.
This was at the Amex a while ago.
All I remember as I ran away was his gesturing fist.

Why is Guy a Withdean legend? He’s a Brighton legend! Is there a link to sponsor him, he’s a really good bloke and obviously the cause is our own. Will keep eye on club website.
