Wolves scout John Tweedy is set to join Brighton in a recruitment role, sources have told Football Insider.

Tweedy has agreed a deal to leave Molineux for their Premier League rivals in a role focusing on attacking players.

He has previously worked as head of academy recruitment at Sunderland, where he spent 15 years, and was also a scout for Man United.

Where do you want us to get them from? Costa Coffee?
You didn’t understand my post did you? Some of our fans moan whenever one of our staff leaves for another club and yet we routinely recruit from other clubs. Can’t have it both ways.

I don't think the post was that clear. Other than the usual regret we've not moaned more than anyone else with the exception of Potter's classless Chelsea-led exodus.

Loads of Portuguese players incoming.
I doubt it. That’s probably why he is leaving Wolves!

Tweedy: “I’ve spotted another great talent, I think we could get him very cheaply”

Wolves head of recruitment: “Is he Portuguese?”

Tweedy: “No, but I can check to see if he has ever been to Portugal if that helps?”

Wolves head of recruitment: “Foda-se Tweedy, você sabe como funciona aqui!”

I’d be surprised if he was involved in any of these transfers to Wolves, all with the same Portuguese agent:

These players weren’t scouted, they were presented to Wolves by Jorge Mendes.

You’d have thought they’d have learnt by now that it’s not the person but our systems and processes, which are not for sale. Still, let them splurge the remainder of their money on another of our staff.
They have offloaded some expensive players from their enormous wage bill but they still have players like Chilwell taking big wages and nowhere near the first team. So how do they react; let’s go and get another recruitment guy from Brighton to bring in another 6 wingers. Clowns.

Note to self - check the date of the opening post before getting excited. Shows how much attention I pay, wasn't aware of him, nor 'the guy from Norwich' mentioned above.
