As many of you know, I have been conducting research on the latest incidents of racism in football and whether this is a new phase or has been present for a number of years. Today (Friday) John Terry has been removed as captain of England ahead of his court appearance in July. I'm interested to know what you think of this and whether Terry should go to the European Championships. I've set up a 3-question survey that will take you less than a minute to complete - just go to: The Football Association and John Terry

Thanks in advance.

Apart from any other criteria regarding his football, why shouldn't he go to the European Championships?. He is still innocent in the eyes of the law.

It was correct to remove the captaincy as he has been charged.

Is your survey going to run with a 72% Yes / 28% No tagline, despite a huge variety of potential reasons?

I would have thought it would have been more suitable/telling to ask whether they were right to remove him due to the latest saga - then further questions to find out whether or not he should have been removed before.

I'm minded to think that he shouldn't be removed for the sake of this case hanging over him as there is no proof. However, I think he should have been removed long ago. Actually, I don't think he should have been made captain at all.

Should Terry be selected for Euro Champs? Again, he is innocent (as yet) of the latest misgiving. How is this going to help your study? I think the twat should just f*** off. I wouldn't select him at all. There are going to be Chelsea fans that will select him as he is their captain. There are going to be all sorts of biased fans voting on this. What is it going to tell you?

Reseach his reaction to 9/11 and you should have a good opinon of him.

As someone who attracts trouble, controversy and is divisive his position has been untenable for some time. The outcome of the latest incident does not need to come into it. Right decision.

Ah I guess you have met him before then.

Yes, I have actually - in a bar, a few years ago now, through a mutual acquaintance.

I have to admit, I forgot to ask how his family was. You know, the coke-dealing dad, shop-lifting mum and cheating brother.

And, I dunno, it didn't really seem appropriate to ask him about cheating on his wife with teenagers and a team-mate's girlfriend, the assault charges, parking in disabled bays, dodgy tours of Chelsea's training ground and all the rest.

I'm sure it's all a big mistake and he's a nice guy really.

why a few ill-advised unsavoury words (probably from both players) in the heat of a Premier League local derby, should end up as a High Court action beggars belief. Smacks of a witch hunt I believe PS I am not a racist, just a disillusioned football supporter sad to see the great game degenerate into a mass of cheating, unsporting behaviour and petty squabbles being blown out of all proportions

Why do you ask this question?

Personally I'm grateful I haven't.
