He was out of position and it showed, his positioning was awful, constantly too deep and never really anywhere near the ball so unable to put in any tackles. he was well off the pace too.

I'm still undecided about Piercy, a little bit more match fitness and in the right position I think he could do a job.

See another thread started on saturday. Piercey was awful. He kept staying too far back, didn't make any telling crosses or tackles - hence he was substituted. He was quite rightly dissapointed with himself. However, everone has a bad game - perhaps he was just out of position.

I know Marney wasn't brilliant but at least he's got the enthusiasm to have a go, would rather see him on the pitch any day instead of Piss Poor Piercy.

I think he was utter shite and blackpool sussed him out
because all there attacks were coming past him.when marney
came on he brought a wee bit more urgency and slowed them
down.

Storer68 - I can't believe you're saying "he did okay given that he was unfit". He shouldn't be f***ing unfit!

This has got be a wind up Storer 68, but why from a man as knowledgeable as you?

We spoke about Piercy's lack of application at half time and the Rotherham game, where apparantly he did OK, did crop up. My poiint is it was well obvious early on to a lot of people and the manager subbed him soon after the break to endorse this view.

Thought he looked pretty poor on Saturday although he saw f*ck all of the ball. Still think he could be really good for us this season. Get him in the centre of midfield where he can provide the creative spark.

I hope he gets a couple more chances to sign when the new boss comes in.
