Watching the game today at the Withdean.

Yep, it was my first game of the season with my son and his mate:wave:. We enjoyed the second half which was a much improved performance compared to the first.

The defence was very poor in the first half as a whole. I like the look of Tunnicliffe and Hoyte, Midfield and strikers did very well.

I hope we can sort this defence problem out soon because this season will definitely be an improvement on last season.

Bennett is going to be difficult to keep hold of, looks one of the best players I have seen in a Brighton shirt for a while.

Please God no.

Dear Mr Bloom

John Barnes was recently sacked by one of only four teams in the division currently worse than us. Keep clear.

Where does Barnes live? Surely he wouldn't make the trip to Withdean if he doesn't live in sussex, there are a HUGE amount of better games to attend?

He could have been at the game in a scouting capacity.

I just hope he was a guest of Hartley Poo unless it really was a case of "Get your act together or we'll bring in Ol Johnny Barnes & then you'll really know how lucky you were to have Big Russ "

The thought of it makes me shudder. Just proves that great players don't automatically become great managers.

John Barnes is aiming to be the next manager of Rwanda. Perhaps he was scouting for people with Rwandan grannies?
