I'm not convinced that the positives he brings to the team outweigh the negatives - certainly not in the premier league anyway

That doesn't work. For one, there is at current no affirmation of guilt. If found guilty, I'm sure 95% of our fans would want the players gotten rid of.

Barton has consistently shown a record of assault and affray. No argument, wouldn't want him anywhere near the club.

It's interesting that this all kicked off because Barton elbowed that ugly Argie in the neck - 3 months ago and ex-City player Joey Barton would have been roundly applauded by CITY fans for doing that. Instead, he's the devil incarnate.
