Sadly can't vote as I don't agree with either choice. He has had more chances than a very lucky Cat and the FA should not only ban him but shred his registration document so he can never play again.

He's a decent player but he values himself, both in footballing terms and in intellectual terms, too highly.

I'm not convinced that the positives he brings to the team outweigh the negatives - certainly not in the premier league anyway

I won't vote for same reason as Bognor Bystander. But the fella is a total wanchor and once his playing career is done one can only wonder. Nasty fecker, only a brave few would sign him now methinks

Well given our player/conviction (or possible) ratio , he'd fit well here.

Ok, so I wouldn't ACTUALLY burn my ST, but I really wouldn't want that poisonous little piece of knob cheese, anywhere near our club.

I hate Barton, but if he played for us I would love him. He is a bit like Robbie Savage in that respect.

He also has the perfect disciplinary record to fit seamlessly into our squad.

I could see Wanker-Barton clashing with El-Abd at some stage. I do not think they would get on well...
I see Barton playing in the Championship next season but I couldn't guess where.

I agree he can play but I also love and respect my Club to much to want that vile vicious **** anywhere near us

You must hate that we have 3 players on trial for sexual assult and one who appeared in court for assult a month ago.

That doesn't work. For one, there is at current no affirmation of guilt. If found guilty, I'm sure 95% of our fans would want the players gotten rid of.

Barton has consistently shown a record of assault and affray. No argument, wouldn't want him anywhere near the club.

It's always funny when you stumble across a sensible post on NSC :)

Ask this question in a year's time and you could well get a different answer to your poll. It's interesting that this all kicked off because Barton elbowed that ugly Argie in the neck - 3 months ago and ex-City player Joey Barton would have been roundly applauded by CITY fans for doing that. Instead, he's the devil incarnate.
