I have done some work at the Blue Camp, and have to say that Joey is one of the more approachable players. He clearly has a very short fuse, but does care passionately about the game and his contribution to it.
He knows he can be a mard arse, but that does not make him an inherently bad person.

My source who witnessed the assault has a rather different view of him. There could well be a few City players called as witnesses for the prosecution. If this happens I can't see how Joey Barton can defend himself - and if he's pleading not guilty the sentence will be harsher
