Hope the money comes in and we can strengthen the squad, guessing 100k of that will be going on Richards on the 1st January.

if we pay 100k for him i'll eat my cock.

where you pulled that ludicrous figure from i'll never know.

If we do pay for him, it won't be too far off £100k.

We all know how classy Lynch is but we also know he has Ferdinand moments which he obviously hasn't shown the Forest fans yet.

I believe that Lynch has at least 18 months left on his contract? In that case there's no way we'll let him go on the cheap. If Forest want him they'll have to pay the asking price - and I have every confidence that Dick will ask a lot.

sorry should have said MOST of us know how classy he is :lolol:

When will the scales fall from my eyes?

There is a slight tendency for JL fans to start their discussions about him with comments like that. I have seen him play plenty of times and thought sometimes he had ok/good games. But overall he was another one of those Brighton youth players who always remained as "having promise" and never kicked on. Unlike Tommy Elphick.

Nothing all that classy about the way he lobbied for a team place earlier in the season either.

He may one day be a decent CB - but I wouldn't say he's a classy defender.

Longer than that Jim, I thought he was contratced until 2011? Either way we should get a decent fee for the lad provided Forest actually have some money, which I'm not sure that they do especially if they're likely to get relegated.

Totally agree with everything you say

Whenever i have seen him play, he has flattered to deceive, and gives the impression (like El Abd) of being only a moment away from a serious defensive lapse

Whereas TE is much more consistent, and just likes defending and doesn't try and play himself into trouble

For a lad who has been with us for years, ANY transfer fee is going to be good...i reckon £200/250,000 with add-ons.....

Not saying for a minute that he's the finished atricle and his lapses of concentration may well hold him back from being top class, but basically I would definitely argue that he is classy. He also seems to be an egotistical impatient lad who has got out of here at the 1st opportunity, rightly or wrongly.

Anyway let's have a poll to see what the majority do think:)

And there we have the other myth trotted out about him "momentary lapses" that mar otherwise sparkling performances.

I can forgive the lapses, he's young. But when he is not lapsing he simply is not of the quality that some people seem to think.

I can tell from the survey that I'm in a minority - but MA is in my minority too!

(f*** me - is this a chat about football - don't tell Mathorpee for god's sake)
