In all seriousness, that is a fantastic job for a recent graduate. Sadly, there are far too few jobs like that around.
That's before tax. Imagine what the take home is if you get 2p in the pound.I can't believe the salary is just 15k for a 40 hour week, for a graduate!

Take home is £1089 a month. You won't be going to the Bahamas but it's a job and there are people who'd give their right arm for such a job at the moment and one that can get them a foothold and some experience in a specific area.
Agree - have to say in the current climate and i was a graduate looking to get into graphic design I wouldn't ignore the opportunity. Be a bit hard to hide your allegiance as well. Obviously would have trouble looking at NSC too!
I think allot of people will be surprised how difficult it is to find decent grads that are prepared to start on such a low salary. The "I just want to work" attitude is the exception and not rule I've found of late. So much so we've started using digital apprentices after having back to back disasters with juniors who wanted a huge salary increase as soon as they got through their probation.
I'd say £15.5k is probably just under market rate for somewhere in Sussex however in Croydon you are 15 minutes from central London so IMO it's well under market rate. We've just taken a grad on in our design team and she has come in at £21k.
Exactly! Graduates finish Uni these days expecting a £30K+ year job straight away and wont look for anything below, its ridiculous.
It works the other way as well. Employers are advertising jobs, that really can only be counted as unskilled, low grade work, as graduate jobs as they realise they can get very talented candidates on low wages.
What would you say was an acceptable wage level for someone who has spent 3+ years studying at University?
