Had a guy in to change our electric meter yesterday and we got talking about music etc.

He said he saw Hendrix play a club here in South Shields in 1967! He said the music was unbelievable and Hendrix appeared spaced out the whole gig!

At first I was sceptical, but then checked the local archives this morning and the guy was spot on ... an audience of less than 400 to see the maestro in a North East seaside town!
