I thought he looked good when he came on and made a couple of decent runs. God we have missed him .

By the time he came on the game had lost it's shape... he seemed comfortable on the ball, if slightly over ambitious at times.

I hope he comes back to full fitness and makes the impact we so desparately need.

I am so glad he is back, adds balance to the team being left footed and looks to attack which is the best form of defence (ie dont let the opposition near our woefull defence!)

Talking of left footers, what the hell has happened to Jake Wright, he has been out for ages and I have not heard of him having a major injury?

cant help but feel he wants to play midfield the amount of times he strides forward could possibly be 1 game to early to start him but he did ok and really does look completely at ease on the ball.

if we'd had whing, tunnicliffe and mcnulty in the back 4 all season we wouldn't be leaking goals like we have.

welcome back Jimmy!

welcome back Jimmy!

We've had 2 out of 3 and are leaking goals. Whing is not good enough and Tunnicliffe makes too many mistakes, which have cost goals, through lack of experience and needs to be guided through gently rather than just thrown in at the deep end.

McNulty is just short of match fitness but that will come up to and over Christmas.

Great to see him back & thought he did fine tbh - all things considered. The only thing I must add (& I'm probably the only one): my kidneys started to feel a bit 'funny' when Our Jimmy came on the pitch! Doubtless it was down to some soft-drink or other that I'll have consumed over the last month or so..

He looked knackered at the end. Was brilliant going forward, playing almost as a left winger. He did look scared of tackling, and was guilty of backing off the attacker quite badly. Was beaten easily a couple of times, but no worse than any other of the defenders.

It was good having McNulty going down one wing and Bennett down the other. Just need the strikers to get in the box instead of ambling around in the "hole"

Defending was bit ropey but that was too be expected, lack of fitness pace of the game, fact we were chasing the game etc. Going forward he showed what we have missed with a bit of natural left footed width

Hmm, perhaps there is an opportunity here with McNulty coming back and given how El Abd is getting peoples backing now, to play something along the lines of -

--------------- FDM ---------------
-- Whing - Elphick - Tunni - El Abd --
-Bennett - Crofts - Dicker - McNulty-
--------- Murray -- Forster ---------

Will give Adam some well needed defensive cover, but will also provide a good attack down both wings, especially with a decent left peg to swing some balls in.

A class act, lovely to watch him on the ball. His forward runs caused a lot of problems for them and was exactly what we needed at that stage of the game. His passing was hit and miss at best though and as mentioned, he didn't look fit enough to last 90mins. Reckon he needs 90 mins foir the stiffs first to get his eye back in and fitness up.

I have never seen Jake Wright play so obviously others can comment better but we did splash 100K on him and was wan't by Hearts so surely he is worth trying out at centre half. Impossible to be worse than the options at present and from what I have heard at least he tries not to play hoof ball like the a few others in the back 4!

Looks good on paper, still not convinced with Elphick at all though:facepalm:

Right here, right now
Elphick definatley the week link in defence.

Perhaps Wright in the middle with Tunni? Or El-Abd in the middle with Tunni, Jimbo at LB and Cox left wing?
