Dear nsc,

My daughter's charm bracelet has a broken link. She took it to a Churchill Square shop, which carried out a repair that lasted a couple of weeks. We have no intention of going back there!

Any jewellers you'd recommend in the Brighton to Shoreham area, please?

If you can be really adventurous and make the trek to Goring, I’ve always found these guys reasonable and pretty good, but I have only had watch services and watch links done there. Probably best to call them and ask if they do what you require though.

The necklace was too fine to repair (it would always break at that place), so James Ross's repairer politely turned the work down. We gave up.
