There is also a picture doing the rounds of the plane with 50+ people on each wing...

Hit a flock of birds which disabled two engines apparently.

Just goes to show that there is a glitzy side to being a pilot with the trips to some of the best places in the world, but there is an AWFOL lot of skill involved in the job.

Cue endless Yanks saying they had been spared by the Lord. While nervous insurers turn away all claims, citing Act of God.

Nice to see BBC America not keep mentioning the word miracle and giving the credit to the pilot, ferry operators and rescue agencies which is as it should be. Unlike all the US networks who milked the religious aspect for all it was worth.
