Meanwhile we are forced to play Milner and Facundo as wingers yesterday with a kid off the bench to replace them. Make it make sense
In a month’s time when we have Enciso, Fati, Adingra and Mitoma back, he’s still getting regular football at a good level whereas Milner and Facundo are warming our bench

But I'd counter by saying those fixtures over the next month matter. And we are assuming no setbacks to those players and no more fresh injuries

We’re not about mucking about with a player’s longer term career for sake of a month or so though - would be totally the wrong thing to do. The club have moved him from WBA to get more game time - he won’t get that here this season.

That's assuming we stay injury free, big assumption given that we've lost every single winger to injury in the first half of the season.

Fair play to Brian Owen for pointing out in yesterday's Argus that when we beat a Gary O'Neill side at the Amex last season, it was also a very tight game decided at the end by a single goal. Created by Jeremy Sarmiento.

He gave the ball away for their winner. Got taken straight off after that.
Indeed. But as others have said he was fouled. And it was beyond the half way line, the Ipswich defence really should have done better once possession was lost!

Was clearly being fouled, which almost certainly caused the mis-hit pass. Besides, it’s not as if the Maidstone attackers still didn’t have a lot to do from the halfway line!

On the bench again tonight. My mate who follows Ipswich home and away is, it’s fair to say, not a fan of JS so far.

We get the odd flash from him but he doesn’t seem to be making the big impression on the Championship I thought he would.

I feel like he'd have got the same amount of minutes staying with us as he's had out on loan.

A shame, he really looked like he would be the best of the South American midfielders when he arrived but he’s been left badly behind by Enciso and increasingly Buonanotte too
