Such a shame, he seemed to be on the cusp of getting a run and looked as though he could be exactly what we need in a forward, eye for goal, pacy and tricky.

Shit for us shittier for him

Lack of warm up, pre existing injury that wasn't obvious or just bad luck?

Pretty sure it wouldn't be a lack of warm up! They're professionals not Sunday League!

It does seem to be a curse for us - I can understand Welbeck , at his age, getting a hammy but Lamptey and now Sarmiento are both young lads and you would imagine not prone to this kind of injury.

They are both light and very rapid, like Michael Owen. Hamstring injuries are more likely, aren't they? I mean Pascal is never going to tear a hammy unless he does a 360 degree Gross turn at 3 times normal speed.

I would say give Tolaj a chance now. he is 20 and on good form a session on the 1st team bench will do him good. Just needs a few 10-15 min sessions

The lad can't keep himself fit, which is a shame as a january recall was a strong possibility given Enciso's injury

The lad is a little fragile!
Has he ever completed a full 90 minute game of football in England?
No, it appears not!

He's only 21 (between Adingra and Verbruggen in squad age rankings) but for him to continue with a professional career, something needs to change.

Young players with a lot of pace often have muscle injuries as they develop. We've seen it with Tariq and, unfortunately, it looks like Jeremy is another. You don't get a lot of 30 something centre halves with hamstring or quad issues, but nor do you cheer them as they flair their way through a tight defence.
