You'd think his dad would have taken care of that, wouldn't you!Being linked with another loan. Reading, Derby and The Twats all mentioned.
His three-year deal ran out this summer, presumably he has signed an extension?

As I reported on here a couple of months ago, it wasn't reported at the time but he signed a new contract back in July 2022:-Being linked with another loan. Reading, Derby and The Twats all mentioned.

I was just taking a look at the annual FA Agents Transactions Report for Feb 2022 - Jan 2023 (as one does on a Sunday afternoon) and I see that Jensen Weir extended his contract with the club in the period (which, I'm fairly certain, has not previously been reported). The report used to show the date of each transaction but annoyingly that column was dropped a few years ago; however, the transactions - 50 for Albion - are shown in chronological order (based on those that WERE reported at the time). Weir's extension seems to have been agreed in July 2022 (presumably around the time of his loan to Morecambe).
Edit: Unfortunately the details of each transaction are not revealed so no idea what the new contract length is.
The twats being Portsmouth? Or Sheffield Wednesday, Leeds, or any other number of twat clubs?Being linked with another loan. Reading, Derby and The Twats all mentioned.

Even more disappointing that not only we couldn't find him a Championship club, but we actually found him a League1 club that isn't giving him game time! The twats being Portsmouth? Or Sheffield Wednesday, Leeds, or any other number of twat clubs?
If the choice is only between League One Reading, Derby and Portsmouth, after his standout season scoring 10 goals from midfield for a shit team last term, its a bit disappointing we cant find him a Championship club.
Maybe he's just not earning that game time at the moment? Blackpool are on a decent run and are up to 8th. Just because he's on loan from us doesn't mean he's guaranteed a start.Even more disappointing that not only we couldn't find him a Championship club, but we actually found him a League1 club that isn't giving him game time!
Bearing in mind his two very successful seasons in League1 (scoring 10 goals from midfield for a struggling side last season) you'd expect him to been starting - if he had been starting and was dropped because he wasn't performing that would be understandable - but in spite of his obvious League1 pedigree he's been left on the bench most of the time from day one; almost looks as if the manager didn't want him in the first place.Maybe he's just not earning that game time at the moment? Hallelujah! Absolutely the right decision.WEIR RETURNS FROM BLACKPOOL
Jensen Weir is returning from his loan spell with Blackpool.
The midfielder has made 16 appearances for the League One club, having spent last season on loan with Morecambe, when he scored 11 goals and made more than 50 appearances.
Jensen joined Albion in 2020 from Wigan Athletic.
Technical director David Weir said, “Jensen is coming back to us after his time at Blackpool and we will look at what is the next best step in terms of his development.”
Gone to Wigan (sale not loan)

Mixed reactions on their forum….some good humour thoughBest of luck to him. Certainly an asset in League One if used properly, Wigan should be happy about this signing.
Minimal, I would expect. This chap is the deputy sports editor for the local Wigan rag.Any rumours on a fee? Looks like a fee of some description was involved, “undisclosed” though.
Burslem? He always chooses a town with a pier!
