Have we got any tacticians out there? What did we do differently?

I can see pace, speed of build up, longish balls through the middle, willingness to take a chance etc. Did anyone see what else we did?

The dull part of the south coast
October 2024.... "Freescoring Brighton laid on yet another feast of attacking football for an adoring Amex audience. The Seagulls' transformation under Huerzeler has been remarkable and locals are starting to believe that the surprise early season tabletoppers could finally end a long wait for major silverware on the South Coast."
I’ll have that! :drink:

Theres obvs a bit of a gulf in class, but these 2 stats on my football app are still relevant...... and about to be broken.

"Brighton haven't won an away game in their last 8 matches"
"Kashima Antlers are unbeaten in their last 17 home games in all competitions"

It's not Kashima Antlers' home ground though.

Unfortunately didnt see the game as I’m working but judging from the comments, sounds like Fabi-ball did it’s job - faster progression from the back and less circulation of the ball in front of our own goal, more direct passes through the midfield and maintaining attacking momentum into the final third. Better defensive strategies and better attacking strategies - what’s not to love?

This season will be all about the breakout youngsters - also when it comes to PSR restrictions, Brighton is ahead of the game. TB and PB continues to make us competitive with a combined short-term/longterm approach to recruitment/development.

I think we have a very exiting season ahead.

Question.

Having been given something at work I couldn't get out of I missed the game. I know the score but still want to see the full match.

Can't see it on youtube or the club site? Any ideas? Thanks

Walked into the sauna and everyone had their meat and two veg out, swiftly left, I’ve seen enough cocks in my time.

Always the case in Japan, same with the onsens: you have to go in in the buff and shower before you do.

I plucked up the courage and adopted the "when in Rome" attitude when I was there. You soon lose the inhibitions when there are a load of elderly Japanese ladies walking around you in the buff, and realise literally nobody gives a shit what you look like.

If only we'd have had some of those wing options last January, we'd be looking forward to Europa League in a few months

Didnt see much of our defensive strategies either half we werent really ever under pressure for any real amount of time. but pretty much spot on with the attacking style of play.

First half we saw a lot of the ball going into welbecks feet who drew his man out, played the ball back to the midfield and put the balls in behind for our wingers to get into, its how we scored our first goal.

Second half it was pretty impressive to see 5 players breaking forward at speed. will be interesting to see if it has a place in the premier league, but when it works it looks very impressive.
