NO GILMOUR !!!

(more likely he's done the least pre season training cos he was at the Euros so taking it easy. Likewise ..Wieffer is recovering from an injury too so not match fit yet)

OR MAYBE ??

Looks like Rushworth, Webster, Igor, Hinshelwood, Wieffer, and Gilmour are all not on the bench. My guess is they all start the next game instead.

Anyone see those Japanese twin boys who popped up in various videos/as mascots? I was sat infront of them at the Luton game. They must be all over this.

Oh and I wonder if that dancing seagull goggles boy is there too.

This. With 30-odd players out there it’s hardly a surprise some have been left out.…….he’ll want to give virtually all of them some minutes

My guess…..
Steele
Van Hecke - Baleba - Samuels
Lamptey - Milner - Welbeck - Moran
Minteh - Osman - Mitoma

Baleba as hybrid CDM/CB?

Completely based off of the assumption that Hürz will use a similar system to the one used at St Pauli, yeah.

Formation wise, it really could be anything.. I'd wager that it'll be close to a 3-4-3, considering the amount of wingers and full backs shoehorned into the XI.

Expecting a change of 10 or 11 players at half time, both to see as many as possible play and to not risk heat stroke for the poor pale brits in the team. :)

Also wouldn't be surprised if Fabian took this opportunity to award players who have shown the most intensity in practice with a starting slot, as a wake-up call to the whole squad. Not totally uncommon for a new coach during pre-season as I understand it.

Interesting line-up was not expecting such an inexperienced team, but then again that is the point of friendlies
