Not a great game for him. Nearly gave them a goal with a loose pass first half, and was poor in possession. Did the defensive bits well but you’d expect that as a minimum

Gilmour clearly MotM for me. Not sure anyone else deserve anything more than a 6. Pervis was good in the first half, but faded quickly in the second.
Gilmour definitely was, but even he gave the ball away particularly in the first half, and then kept regaining it.

A number of them looked tired towards the end, yet Wolves who had been chasing the ball looked more dangerous.

Just thought we looked like a team who hadn’t played for 2 weeks.

As per my earlier post Welbeck would have been a 4 others were a 6, Gilmour an 8.

Thought he was okay, but he summed up the team performance. Not at his best, sloppy and individual mistakes but okay enough to get through the game. Wouldn’t single him out for either praise or criticism last night.

thought his passing was excellent today. defended well like he usually does but really seems to have added some excellent distribution skills to his repertoire
It looked a conscious tactic from Palace yesterday, to close off the space around Dunk, so that JPVH had to be chief distributor instead. He completed 11 of his 11 attempted long passes, so that went well…

Looks destined to be a top, top CB. Only slight issues around concentration at times but you'd hope that can be improved upon, certainly was with Dunk.

If only there was some kind of clue as to which club he's most suited too :lolol:

Apologies if fixtures, I did go back a couple of pages and didn't see it.

I really enjoyed this piece from Dutch TV about a group from JPvH's home village taking a trip to Brighton. It has English subtitles.

Thank you. That was worth watching.
