If Jimmy White has changed his name by deed poll to James Brown why are there referring to him as Jimmy White on the snooker?

I bet HP sauce are really happy with that!

Apparently he'd already registered in the competition as Jimmy White, so had to be called that.

The snooker people are not happy about him changing his name. Can't see what the problem is myself.
