Anybody who saw Top Gear last night must have liked James Blunt's contribution. Whilst I'm not a fan of his music he's no different to a whole load of other artists on that score and it has irked me for a while why the bloke gets so much abuse. I thought he came across and very funny and interesting and clearly far more of a bloke than many of his peers.

Well done James, nice one.

No he isn't, came across as having a great sense of humour, was also impressed by the work he does for ex-servicemen.

Seemed like a genuinely nice bloke.

Still don't like his music though -- and neither does he, judging from his comments last night ("come on, have you heard it?").

Bluntage certainly came across well. Hamilton's lap was bloody quick considering the conditions too. Not one of the better episodes of Top Gear though.

Have to agree, those five minutes on Top Gear really changed my opinion of him. Still don't like his music but nobody's perfect!

Be interesting to see if they get Lewis back on a dry track!

i think people dislike him due to overexposure rather than not liking his music. wait 5 years and you'll be saying you quite like it.

There's about the same chance of me liking Chris de Burgh and that's been well over 5 years now. What he does he does well, but it irritates the hell out of me.

Your beautiful is the best pop song of the last 5 years, over exposure has meant people dislike it, but if you sit down without prejudice and listen to it, it is a beautiful song, well thats what I think anyway.

Dress it up how you like I think it's a dirge but one of the better ones of recent years.

I have slagged JB on another thread but am actually a closet fan.

BUT he will never hold a candle to the likes of RODDY FRAME (Aztec Camera) LLOYD COLE and JUSTIN CURRIE (Del Amitri)

Justin has a new solo album out called WHAT IS LOVE FOR?

I'm fooked if I know the answer but it is THE BEST CD OF 2007 BY A COUNTRY MILE.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UiGGwsI5aY4

I was impressed with Amy McDonald on that gayer chatshow last night.

She has a tough voice, and good songs....and can touch her nose with her tongue

She does sound like a man though.
