The boy absoltely oozed class yesterday admittly at a lower level but u could just see the difference in his first touch and the way he was crusing round the pitch, i for one defeintly thing next year could be the making of him we have to start him in more games next season, its a shame he missed that late chance cos that would av completed an excellent performance, did make me chuckle to see him getting that bottle of champagne for man of the match, knowing jake personally theres a strong possibilty he wouldnt have even touched that after the game, anyway lets let this kid loose next year. whats everyone else think?:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

i have a feeling that if he doesnt break through next year then he may move on.

He is class but we have to wait and see.

Sayin that if we do go down then he may get his chance then

If we do go down, God forbid, I can see Jakey getting a major chance next season but there is a large maybe. The only way he will get to play more than a bit part role is if Leon stays out wide, there is no way that we could play and compete with two forward players who are as short as those two, unless of course we stop lumping the ball forward and just play it on the ground, now there is an idea!!!

If we get relegated and Leon leaves, then Jake may play a bigger role in the team next season.

If we stay up, who knows how things will work out for him.

'if' we stay up or 'if' we go down the kid still has to be given a chance otherwise like others i feel we will run the risk of losing him, and i feel that will come back to haunt us one day, spose were just have to wait and see, but surely we need to hold onto talents like this.:p

he's not ready for Championship football yet.If he was McGhee would have been using him this season.

Yes he looks class in the Conference, but even Mark McCammon could look class in the conference.
Hang on.....maybe thats going a bit far!

I'd recall him now and stick him on our bench... him coming off the bench could be an important weapon in our run-in... he is something different... McGhee favours big centre forwards, but Jake could do a job, IMHO...

This might be an obvious question that years of Championship manager really should have taught me the answer to, but if we were to have a serious striker crisis in the next week or two and needed to recall him, would that be allowed given that the deadline has passed?

We have a 24 hr call back clause in the loan contract I believe

He is still an Albion player, regardless of who he is loaned out to, we hold his registration so should be able to call on his services whenever required.

Has he played in any other games for us this season apart from the opener at Reading?
Yep, that might've been his only start though.

Sub against Reading, but he started against Coventry - wasn't terrible, held up ball OK but not a lot of goal threat. We had to be rescued in the end by Virgs in that game.

He is being built up by some on this web site as some kind of super human player, while all reports suggest he is doing well whle on loan it is 3 leaues below the one brihton are in and some of the teams in that leaue are woefull.

Jake deserves a decent chance... he can only outplay those in front of him... currently, Aldershot's opponents... we are not exactly oozing goals in our first team... get him back on OUR bench...

If you look at our pathetic strikers scoring, you have to wonder why the boy isn't given a good proper crack,i honestly would prefer molango to knight and mc cammon???

I know molangos first touch was pretty bad,but his skill and speed was very good indeed.:drink:

MOLANGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO:clap:

Are you basing your assessment of our strikers on the evidence of your own eyes?Oh,hang on,you've admitted(or should that be boasted )that you have only seen 2 matches this season.Hardly enough to form a fair and balanced opinion, is it?
