Watched Jake (and David Lee's ten minutes!) at Barnet today. Poor boy seemed a bit on his own really. The problem with teams like Aldershot is that they hoof the ball to front runners or into space for players to chase.Very little goes to feet...clearly his strength. So Jake had to put up with scraps all afternoon against a pretty ordinary Barnet side.
Saying that he clearly knows how to make space for himself even in a new environment and despite completely missing the ball in front of goal in the second half came back strongly to bury a pretty straightforward chance. He then struck a sweet 25yarder that was curling into the top corner before Barnet goalie made a great save to tip over the bar.
At the end we let him know the Albion result and scorer.... that really confused him. I suppose he couldn't possibl;y have expected any Albion fans to be watching him!
