Regardless of what you think of Jade as a TV personality, please spare a thought for her family as they also have to tackle the disease, but in a completely different way. My wife was told 2 days before Christmas, have you ever had your Mrs turn to you and ask you to take lots of pictures of her on Christmas day morning with the kids just in case it's her last?? Probably not, one of the hardest days of my life, I can tell you.

Cervical cancer is one of the most treatable cancers, although from reading about Jades symptoms it does seem that the cancer may be at an advanced stage, which could make treatment harder and more radical.

If any good should come from this, then please urge your wives, girlfriends etc... to keep their cervical smear appointment. It may just save their life

In many aspects of her life, Jade Goody is one of the worst consequences of the reality TV World that has grown up in the past few years. She hasn't done herself any favours over the years and therein lies the problem.

I think every single person on here has a massive amount of sympathy for anyone diagnosed with such a terrible and potentially life-threatening disease. The problem with people like Jade Goody is that they, or their representatives, seek to use the situation as a publicity tool. Goody supposedly called her Agent BEFORE she called her family and Max Clifford has been all over the media like a rash this morning.

It's just shit. It's a dreadful situation but we would be WAY more sympathetic if it wasn't PLASTERED over the media in such a way that it turns into a circus.

I can't imagine what you and your family have / are going through, and as for Christmas day ............ I honestly don't know what to say.......... I truly hope everything works out for the best.

As Ian says above, someone like Jade probably does not help herself at times and these "B" type celebs in most cases love the press, after all thats what makes them there money, but whatever there case is i honestly dont think it warrants nasty comments, as US states, "but for the grace of god go I" and these things do have a nasty way of coming back and biting you in years to come, but of course everyone is entitled to there opinion.

I don't particularly like Jade Goody, but I wouldn't wish any form of cancer on anyone...she is after all a mother, would you want to have to tell her kids that their mother has cancer, I wouldn't.

The cynic in me wonders if this is all a publicity stunt timed to maximum effect and to get the nation to feel sorry for her and boost her flagging bank balance. expect the news story, interviews, dvd " Jade my Cancer Scare Hell ".

I feel sympathy and empathy with anyone who has cancer. Difference is, I would seek solace from friends and loved ones, not through the gutter press to, undoubtedly, make a pile of cash. It's crass beyond belief.

I am not interested in her, or her plight, end of.

The Woman has made over £ 4 000 000 for have absolutely no talent, no ability, no intelligence , no skills whatsoever. Depressing as that is what is more depressing is that the UK public have given over that money and someone who is a crass , foul mouthed racist bigot who thinks East Anglia is abroad is aspied to and held up as some kind of role model. She is the worst of everything that is wrong with this country and I may be going out of a limb but I can pretty well guarantee she will have the all clear within a couple of months and can make a huge amount of cash selling her story.

It is all staged and although I am sure the cancer cells are there it has been timed to be released when she is in the India BB House for maximum exposure and publicity. Max Clifford is an odious piece of work so his 20% will be worth it.

Thanks Hitony. Thankfully my wife had a hysterectomy (sp) luckily we'd had our 2 planned children and everything has worked out fine. I pay a private healthcare plan and they by-passed the NHS waiting list and she had her op on the 18th Jan 07, 3 weeks after diagnosis.

The experience has made us stronger and made us realise how much you need to live life for today as you never know what's around the corner.

This latest twist in the Jade Goody Soap is not going to change my opinion of her and that being she is an odious woman.

According to the Times "The reality TV star revealed how she went into the Indian Big Brother house to pay the bills - knowing she could have the disease."

First of all the foul mouthed racist should not have been given the opportunity to go to India, let alone blot our TV/papers ever again. The world would be a better place without these people solely wanting to be famous, pathetic celebrity magazines and Big Brother type shows. Crass TV/press for dull minded people.

I hope she recovers for the sake of her children.
